10 Year Old Texas Boy Suspected of Savagely Beating Poodle to Death

A 10-year-old Fort Worth boy is expected to be charged today with delinquent conduct and animal cruelty-torture.  According to a report, a Cavalier mix poodle was found beaten to death and the boy is suspected in the killing. 

The owner of the dog alleges that the boy unlatched a backyard gate and, using a stick, chased the dog out of the yard.  It's further alleged that the boy used the stick to beat the dog to death.  A broken-off portion of that stick was found in the backyard.

The charge of animal cruelty-torture is a felony crime, but authorities have not indicated to what level they will prosecute.  A Facebook Page concerning this story has been started and has gone viral.  CAUTION - pictures from the crime scene are on the Facebook Page.
