The 2011 American Country Awards winners were announced on Dec. 5 in Las Vegas, and though it was only the second annual event, the A-list country music star showing proved that this is one awards show that’s here to stay. With so many beautiful faces and even more talent, handing out awards to name the best of the best is no easy feat.

The event, hosted by Trace Adkins and his four foot counterpart Kristin Chenoweth, shot off with a bang and a medley of hits from Adkins, which quickly turned into a funny skit between the odd pair. Later, Carrie Underwood collected the first big award of the evening for Single of the Year: Female and Chris Young grabbed Single of the Year and Breakthrough Artist of the Year, which he celebrated by performing his winning hit, ‘Voices.’

The full list of nominees are listed below, and the winners’ names appear in bold. It will be updated live as the show continues. Congratulations to the 2011 American Country Awards winners for a great year!
