1948 - Joe Bonsall born in Philadelphia. The one-time gang member becomes tenor singer in 1973 for the gospel quartet The Oak Ridge Boys, which soon shifts into country music, using him as a lead voice on such hits as "Elvira," "Bobbie Sue" and "Love Song".
