The past year has been full of excitement and accomplishments for the Aggie Nation.  Texas A&M made the move to the Southeastern Conference before the 2012-2013 season, and especially in football, many thought the Aggies would finish towards the bottom of the division.

Well, one year later Texas A&M boasts a Cotton Bowl trophy, a great season which included a victory over the eventual National Champs, and let's not forget a freshman Heisman Trophy winner in 'Johnny Football'.

The Aggies are brimming with excitement for the upcoming season, and that excitement is coming to the Oldest Town in Texas.  The Nacogdoches County Aggie Mothers' Club and the Nacogdoches A&M Club are hosting the Aggie Yell Leaders on Friday, July 12th.

It's a Summer Yell that will be held at Festival Plaza just south of City Hall.  It gets underway at 6 and continues until 8.  You're encouraged to bring a lawn chair, blankets, and to pack a picnic (no alcohol permitted).  There will be a limited supply of free hot dogs, chips, water, and cookies.

You'll be treated to video clips on the big screen of exciting plays from last year, plus the Yell Leaders will be available for pictures.  And then, get ready for the big Yell Practice. (I wonder if we'll have an opportunity for 'lights out' even though the sun will still be out)  Organizers are hoping for a sea of maroon.

WHOOP!
