The good news is that Sunday and Monday are looking better with just slight rain chances, however, today and Saturday heavy rainfall could occur over Deep East Texas.

The National Weather Service believes 2 inches of rain will be rather commonplace across the area with isolated amounts of 3-5 inches possible.  Isolated areas of severe weather could also occur.

Rainfall across northern Texas continues to raise rivers to major flood stages.  In some areas, the Trinity and Red River are close to reaching their highest levels in recorded history.  On Friday morning, many areas around Dallas were on a new round of flood warnings due to heavy rainfall overnight.
