Arctic Blast Moving into East Texas

An Arctic cold front should be blasting through the Pineywoods around mid-day today bringing with it frigid temperatures and gusty winds.  In fact, a freeze warning is effect for most of the area tonight and a lake wind advisory is posted throughout the day. 

We can expect lows in the upper 20s across Deep East Texas overnight and when the cold front blows through around lunch time today, we can expect winds gusting to 30 mph.  No rain is expected from this system, however rain chances to pop back in the forecast by the end of the week.
