Are You A Stay-At-Home Parent? – Someone Owes You $96,000+
Do you take care of the cooking, cleaning, laundry, driving, etc…at your home?
According to a study done at Investopedia someone owes you quite a bit of money – of course, it’s doubtful that you’ll ever see any of that green. Here are the different services you provide and what it’s worth:
Private chef – Which includes preparing the menu and shopping for ingredients…that’s worth about 52 grand for the year.
House cleaner – $118/week for those services.
Child care – Nannies usually go for $600/week plus benefits.
Driver – A lot of give and take here depending on the total miles traveled, but let’s use a little over $4,100 as a ball park figure.
When you add in other basic services such as laundry and even some lawn maintenance, the total bill should come to about $96,000!!
But, as Jimmy Dean said in his song ‘IOU’ – the entire bill will be marked ‘paid in full’ with the words, “I Love You, Mom (Dad)”.
