Grinding out long practices on the football field during Thanksgiving week is a good thing because that means your team is still making a run for the state championship. 

Several area teams are still alive as we head to the 3rd round of the Texas High School football playoffs. The Jasper Bulldogs, Tenaha Tigers, Alto Yellowjackets, Crockett Bulldogs and Newton Eagles will continue their quest this Friday and Saturday.
