When the Astros defeated the Yankees Tuesday night in the AL Wildcard Game, there was only one person on the Houston roster who had been on the team when they last went to the World Series in 2005.   That won't be the case when Houston faces K.C. in the ALDS.

The Astros made public the 25 players that will be on the team as they advance to the next round of the playoffs, and Chad Qualls did not make the cut.  The 37 year old veteran has been having some late season production issues, to say the least.  Over the past month, Qualls has an ERA above 8 and he's just been inconsistent during his relief appearances.

Other players left off the final 25 for the series with Kansas City include Johnathon Villar and Vince Velasquez.  Game one of the best of 5 series with the Royals is Thursday, October 8th at 6:30 Central.
