One of the all-time greats of the country music industry has died.  George Jones died this morning at the age of 81.  The Country Music Hall of Famer, Grand Ole Opry member, and Kennedy Center Honoree had been in and out of the hospital over the past couple of years, most recently entering a Nashville hospital last week with fever and irregular blood pressure.

The Angelina Benefit Rodeo got underway Wednesday Night at the George H Henderson, Jr. Expo Center in Lufkin.  One of the most loved attractions of the night was the mutton bustin'.  12 kids from the area rode sheep with the top four scores guaranteeing themselves a spot in the championship round on Saturday.
