Benefit Being Held for Nacogdoches Man Battling Rare Cancer

Michael McDaniel is a 47 year old Nacogdoches native and SFA graduate who has endured 2 kidney transplants in the past 11 years and a combined 3 years of dialysis.  He is now battling a very rare form of cancer with only 49 cases reported worldwide and he and his family are hoping for your help.  Michael has completed his chemo therapy treatment and must now have a very extensive surgery that will once again bring new challenges to his way of living.

A benefit is being held by friends and family of Michael this Saturday from 12 to 4 at Lugnutz on Highway 59 South in Nacogdoches.  BBQ plates will be sold for dine in or carry out for $10.00.  Donations will be accepted and items will be auctioned off.  An account has been set up at BancorpSouth as well.
