1927 – Songwriter Harlan Howard is born in Detroit. Elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame, his long list of credits includes The Judds’ “Why Not Me,” Patsy Cline’s “I Fall To Pieces,” and Buck Owens’ “I’ve Got A Tiger By The Tail,” by Buck Owens.
