Brent Cobb and his band and crew are not going to be cowed by terrorism. The country singer-songwriter has announced that despite the terrorist attack at a concert in Manchester, England, on Monday night (May 22), his scheduled show for Tuesday night (May 23) in Manchester will proceed.

The critically acclaimed country artist posted to Facebook on Tuesday (May 23) to explain his reasons for going on with his show after an attacks that killed more than 20 fans at a concert by pop star Ariana Grande on Monday, posting the following:

Dear Manchester,

After much consideration, we've decided tonight's show at The Deaf Institute will go on.
While we do not want to be insensitive to your tragedy, we also refuse to let terrorism win.

Our hearts break for your loss and we will be there with you tonight to mourn and help heal.
With love and many prayers,
Brent

At least 22 people, including children, were killed in an explosion at the concert at the Manchester Arena on Monday night, CNN reports. Police believe a lone man carrying explosives carried out the attack as concertgoers were exiting the show. The attacker is believed to have died in the blast. It was the deadliest terror attack in England since the 2005 London bombings. Authorities are now trying to determine if anyone else was involved in the attack and to what extent. Police arrested a 23-year-old man in Manchester on Tuesday in connection with the bombing, but have not revealed the role he may have played.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack on Monday night but offered no evidence to support the claim.

Cobb's most recent album, Shine On Rainy Day, reached No. 17 on Billboard's Hot Country Albums chart after its release in October of 2016. He has also written songs for Luke Bryan, Kellie Pickler, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town and more.

Maren Morris and Taylor Swift were among the country artists who shares their reactions to the concert attack online.
