Although Brett Eldredge has just announced a third single from his debut album, he's already looking into the future. The 28-year-old singer has started writing for the followup record.

During 2014 Country Jam Colorado, Eldredge sat down with Taste of Country's Billy Dukes to discuss where he is now with the next album.

"I’m already writing for the next album," he shares. "We’ve still got at least one or two from from the first album, but yeah, I’m already writing for the next one and getting ready to start recording for that."

Writing for this second album has already proved more challenging than it was for the first one. "I had like my whole life to write for that first album so I’ve been writing like crazy for this one," he says.

Eldredge will be joining Keith Urban for an upcoming tour, and his feelings about the Aussie are evident. "I got to play with him in Canada on his Canadian tour and that was awesome," the newcomer explains, "and it was such like a tease I was like ‘Oh my God, I just want to do this for a long time,’ and then the next thing I know he’s asking me to be on his summer tour."

"I’m just pumped up to get out there," adds Eldredge. "He brought me out on stage every night and that was the best feeling in the world, just to be able to share the stage with him and his band is unbelievable. He’s unbelievable. I think he’s one of the best entertainers out there in the whole world."

Not many would argue.
