Wednesday morning, Brookshire Brothers Charitable Foundation announced the 2015 recipients of more than $123,000.  The presentation took place at the company's Distribution Center in Lufkin. 

Since 2008, Brookshire Brothers has partnered with its vendors and business associates twice a year for the fundraising golf tournament.  Proceeds since the Charitable Foundation tournament's inception have exceeded $664,000.  The funds are divided based on the organizations' needs and application requests.  This year's recipients include 13 non-profits and 3 East Texas Education Foundations.

The 2015 recipients are:

  • East Texas Alliance for Children (Harold’s House)
  • The Joseph House, Inc
  • Junior Achievement of Angelina County, Inc
  • Junior League of Lufkin
  • The Mosaic Center, Inc
  • Sarah’s Hope Charitable and Educational Foundation
  • Volunteer Services Council of the Lufkin State Supported Living
  • Carthage ISD Education Foundation
  • Coldspring-Oakhurst CISD Education Foundation
  • Lufkin ISD Education Foundation
