Texans can come up with some goodies!  Just look at any kindergarten class list, and high five yourself for stamping your kids with some unique, cool, and creative names. A new list is out, and please share your thoughts.  Are the quirkiest baby names in Texas really that quirky?

To say that the first trailer for Beauty and the Beast was evocative of the 1991 animated classic would be an understatement; it was a live-action carbon copy, and if Disney’s remake of Cinderella was any indication, we were in for yet another tedious — if visually stunning, well-acted and beautifully-designed — exercise in nostalgia-based capitalism. But Bill Condon’s live-action update of Beauty and the Beast is more reimagining than remake, a lavish and lovely take on a familiar tale (as old as time, no doubt) that enriches its source material without betraying it, embellishing a cherished antique with modern ideas.

What happens in the shower stays in the shower.  Usually.  This little secret is getting out, what many people are starting to do in the shower, and we're wondering if you're doing it in Lufkin and Nacogdoches.  One way or another, we bet you have an opinion on it.

If you don't mind the drive, one big Texas zoo is letting teachers in free for the rest of the month, and friends that go along can get big discounts too.  Road trip!

Now is the time to pool the money at the office if you're going for the huge Powerball jackpot tonight.  It's a quarter of a billion dollars, which might mean you don't have to go into debt buying chocolate and jewelry for Valentine's Day.

We'll have great weather at times this week, and you might be looking for things to do outside to make the most of it.  Like eat!  Food can be even more fun when it's sunny and 75 and there's a great view to go along with the sandwiches and chips. According to the Pines Theater event calendar, we are in for a handful of great movies at even better prices.

Maybe you've already decided the couch is best on Sunday with an enormous bowl of chips and queso on the coffee table, but the bars will be packed too.  Could Lufkin benefit from another sports bar?

Each year on February 2nd we have to sit around and wait on Punxsutawney Phil in Pennsylvania to know whether we're going to have more winter, or if spring will come early.  Texas has apparently had enough of that nonsense, and that's why we're answering with Bee Cave Bob, the Armadillo.

We've all got a favorite spot that flies under the radar and doesn't get the buzz that other restaurants do, and maybe we're kinda glad because it's our little secret. Until now. What's our most underrated restaurant?

Cassette sales went up in 2016, and just like vinyl they could be making a huge comeback. So it's time to get the Eddie Rabbit and Olivia Newton John out of the attic!  Surely you have those too, right?  Ok, too much info.
