This has been the main issue for many parents for as long as I can remember. There just hasn't been enough activities or events for kids to do in East Texas.

The first night of the Angelina Benefit Rodeo kicked off yesterday evening, and while folks gathered around to see horseback riding, bullfighting, and more ... We were excited to see the mutton bustin' kiddos!

The Angelina Benefit Rodeo is this Wednesday through Saturday at the George H Henderson Jr. Expo Center in Lufkin.  The rodeo kicks off nightly at 7.

The 2nd day of the Angelina County Fair was highlighted by great breads, pies, cookies, and rabbits.  And, has become tradition, a number of the blue ribbon winners stopped by the Merrell in the Morning Show to talk about their entries and awards.

On Thursday, April 6, Milam Lodge #2 in Nacogdoches presented the Mirabeau B. Lamar Award of Excellence to Julia Wells, Principal of Raguet Elementary.

St. Cyprian’s Episcopal School will hold an open house for its new Pre-School Language Program from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20. Parents of children identified with language and communication delays will be introduced to this specialized, language-enriched program for young children...

The Angelina Benefit Rodeo is coming to the George H Henderson Jr Expo Center April 26th-29th, starting at 7 nightly.  One of the great feature events of the rodeo is the championship mutton bustin'.

Get ready.  One of the coolest places for kids in East Texas history is about to open.  HiJinx Trampoline Park located at 161 Jump Street in Hudson will be opening Saturday, April 8th.

On Wednesday, 18 members of the Leadership Tomorrow class paid a visit to the Merrell in the Morning Show.  This has become a welcome tradition over the past 'something' years here at the KICKS studios.

A huge, state of the art, indoor trampoline park will be opening soon in East Texas. HiJinx features over 12,000 square feet of trampolines and jump related fun features that is sure to be a major hit in kids and adults in the area.

Friday proved to be an historic night for mutton bustin' at the Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo and Steer Show.  A five-year-old cowboy from Garrison put up the best score for mutton bustin' in the history of the Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo.
