The Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo and Steer Show is coming March 24th-26th to the Nacogdoches Expo and Civic Center. Cowboys and cowgirls will be riding...and that's before the rodeo even starts.

Friday was another full day of presentations and judging at the 67th Annual Angelina County Fair at the George H. Henderson Expo Center in Lufkin. Hogs, Heifers, Steers, and Arts & Crafts took center stage.
The wind and rain blew in just in time for the first day of the Angelina County Fair at the George H. Henderson Expo Center, but did nothing to stop a very successful kick off to this 67th annual event presented by Brookshire Brothers.
On Thursday, February 11, the Nacogdoches ISD Superintendent’s Student Advisory Board read to kindergarten students at Brooks-Quinn-Jones Elementary.
Students in the advisory board are nominated by their school’s principal or staff and are invited at the end of each school year to become a member.
Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller today honored Casey Neuman, a junior from Onalaska Junior-Senior High School in Polk County as the winner of the Texas Department of Agriculture’s (TDA) monthly GROW award. The award Gives Recognition for Outstanding Work to middle and high school students who demonstrate leadership and excellence inside and outside the classroom.
Major congratulations are in order for Hudson Band members Katie Vandergriff, Darren Castilaw, Trevor Curtis, and Chandler Morris (pictured above). They were named to the All-State Band.
When the SFA Lumberjacks and Ladyjacks played Abilene Christian on Saturday, January 16th, they weren't the only ones on the court showing off their basketball skills.
