Now that the holidays are officially dead and buried, studios are back to releasing new films at a brisk pace — and this weekend, you’ll have your choice of four.

In one corner, we have ‘Twilight,‘ the mega-popular vampire romance that launched the careers of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. In the other, we have ‘Harry Potter,’ the fantasy book series that gave us eight hit movies and made Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson household names. So which is better? Movie studios inundated us with releases last week, which meant some were bound to get lost in the shuffle — especially the two that bowed on Christmas Day. Let’s take another look at them, shall we?

Another day, another Hollywood lawsuit. TMZ reports that director James Cameron, his production company, and 20th Century Fox are being sued for stealing the idea for the hit movie ‘Avatar,’ the number one film of all-time. A screenwriter claims that Cameron stole the idea from two different screenplays he wrote and wants $2.5 billion. That’s right, it’s BILLION, with a “B.”

Moviegoers lined up to see Robert Downey, Jr. in ‘Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,’ giving the sleuthing sequel a $40 million showing and the top spot at the box office this weekend.
