UPDATE: Parents of students at the Central ISD received an record message stating that an anonymous tip to Crimestoppers led to the police investigating and confronting a suspect who soon admitted to calling in the bomb threat that cancelled the students' pumpkin patch field trip.

A bomb threat toward Central ISD was called into the Angelina County Sheriff's Office this morning around 4:00 AM. The caller said, "Yeah, there might be a bomb at Central School tomorrow..."

Classes at Central ISD have been cancelled for today, as the campuses were searched. No explosive devices were found, but making a bomb threat is a felony, resulting in jail time.
