Tropical Storm Cindy has come ashore near the Texas/Louisiana Border with sustained winds of 50 mph.  The storm is expected to track northward along the Sabine River before turning northeast on Friday.

A Flash Flood Watch and Lake Wind Advisories are in effect for a large portion of the Pineywoods.  Over 5 inches of rain could fall over the next 24-72 hours, and winds on Thursday could gust to 35 mph or more, especially in those occasional squalls that move through.  Over 15 inches of rain could end up falling over portions of the gulf coast of Lousiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and the panhandle of Florida.
