Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Jason Aldean and Rascal Flatts headlined the first day of the CMA Music Festival Nissan Stadium shows, but guest performers like Elle King and Randy Travis were the biggest surprises.

Photos show King joining Bentley. The two recorded "Different for Girls" on his new Black album. Travis joined Charlie Daniels, while Maren Morris teamed with Rascal Flatts. Cam and Lady Antebellum also shared a stage. This photo gallery even includes pics of Thomas Rhett and Brett Eldredge, the hosts of the television broadcasts, which airs August 3 on ABC.

The Nissan Stadium shows are the highlights of the CMA Music Festival — a nearly weeklong music and country lifestyle celebration in downtown Nashville. There will be equally star-studded shows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (June 10-12), and Taste of Country will recap each night with photos from the show.
