Community Invited to Lumberjack Welcome Home Party

Memorable...Miraculous...Magical.

These are just some of the words that can be thrown into the wonderful mix of descriptions that define the run of the 2013-14 Lumberjack Basketball Season...and even when you put all these words together, they don't even come close to capturing what was accomplished this year. 

Let's take a look at just some of the list

• Southland Conference Champions
• Southland Conference Tournament Champions
• Unblemished conference record (20-0 including tournament wins)
• 33 game home winning streak (current)
• 29 game winning streak
• Buzzer-beater wins against Incarnate Word and Northwestern State
• And then there's the VCU game...never, ever give up!

There was certainly some luck along the way, but you don't have accomplishments like these without monumental sacrifices.  And these players have done everything asked of them and have represented our community and SFA with dignity and class.

Let's show them how proud we are of them!

There will be a community welcome home and thank you party Monday evening (3/24) at 6:30 at the pedestrian plaza in front of the student center on the SFA campus.  Wear purple, bring signs, and support this wonderful program.
