Country Stars Give Back to St Jude
St. Jude, the number one children's research hospital in the nation, and the charity KICKS105 supports during our annual 2-day Radiothon, will be getting the participation of some big Texas stars for the 2011 St. Jude Texas Music Calendar.
George Strait, Miranda Lambert, Robert Earl Keen, Pat Green, Jewel … the list goes on and on. But through the Country Fans Care fundraising program, thoughtful artists like these are hoping that their contribution to St. Jude will ensure that children’s diseases won’t be an endless worry.
Australian country superstar Keith Urban is certainly no Texan, but he did light the fire to make the St. Jude calendar project an annual event when he encouraged his fans to help raise money for the research hospital back in 2002. And when Urban says jump, his fans comply — to date, the calendar sales have soared over $500,000.
