Add another win Blake Shelton's tally. Country singer Craig Wayne Boyd was crowned 'The Voice' winner on Tuesday night (Dec. 16).

The newcomer kicked off the night singing 'Keep Your Hands to Yourself' with a few of his favorite performers from this season of the reality show and ended it onstage with Southern rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd. Then, he was announced as the winner,  but it didn't come without a lot of hard work and dedication.

Boyd's come a long way since coming to Nashville by way of Texas, and it hasn't always been easy. He hoped the show would be a change of luck both for him and his toddler son, and he got his wish. The singer has developed a close relationship with Shelton, which -- in addition to his endless talent -- will help him along the way. The two seem to have bonded more as friends than coach/team member.

When it was time for host Carson Daly to announce 'The Voice' winner, the coaches -- and the hopeful contestants -- braced themselves. When Boyd's name was revealed in the final two, he began to cry, with Shelton running to congratulate him with a hug.

There will be plenty to come from the promising star-on-the-rise, and he's already released his debut single, 'My Baby's Got a Smile on Her Face.'
