The US Soccer Team lost to Germany today 1-0 in their 3rd game of pool play at the World Cup.  But, the big news is that Team USA will be advancing to the next round of Cup action

Not many gave the U.S. much hope of advancing from the 'Group of Death', which featured powerhouses such as Germany, Portugal, and Ghana.  But, thanks to an opening game win against Ghana and a draw against Portugal, and some World Cup point differential math, the boys from the states will be playing Belgium in the first round of the 'knockout round' next Tuesday in Santiago.

Nacogdoches native Clint Dempsey who scored a goal in each of the first two World Cup games was held scoreless, however, a header late in the game by Dempsey almost drew Team USA to a tie.

USA! USA! USA!!!
