Disturbance Call Leads to Drug Charges Against Huntington Couple

Monday afternoon, October 2, the Angelina County Sheriff’s Office and the Huntington Police Department responded to a disturbance in the 800 block of Thornton Road near Huntington.  

Upon arrival, responding deputies and officers found that one person had received a minor stab wound to the arm as a result of an argument between husband and wife.

Taken into custody on a variety of charges, to include drug possession, were Josh and Sarah Lester. Drug possession charges are also pending against the couple stemming from an incident on Friday, September 30, where law enforcement officials and search teams spent hours searching a wooded area near the couple’s home when Sarah Lester was reporting missing.

The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office is grateful for the assistance provided by other area agencies while responding to these incidents, to include the assistance of Child Protective Services.
