Howdy! I'm a native Texan who has been blessed to call East Texas home since 1990. I have been married to a wonderful woman for 22 years and we have 3 children. In addition to hosting the Merrell in the Morning Show, I'm also the public address announcer for SFA football and basketball games (Axe 'em, Jacks!). I also do the play by play for Nacogdoches Dragon Football. I love God, and I'm especially fond of fajitas, brisket, and The Princess Bride
Sam Alex has worked for country stations across the nation and never misses his favorite acts when they come to town. He's been on red carpets for many different awards shows and interviewed some of your favorite celebrities, like Will Ferrell and Taylor Swift. Originally from Chicago, Sam now lives in Nashville, where he hosts the Taste of Country Nights radio show, a syndicated night show which airs on more than 75 stations nationwide. If you ever see him on lower Broadway, get him a pina colada and some BBQ chicken pizza
Well, what can I say? I was born and raised right here in the heart of Deep East Texas, in San Augustine County. I was the only child of the two greatest parents of all time. I graduated from West Sabine High School in Pineland in 2012, and then graduated from Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches in 2015 with a B.A. in Mass Media, with an emphasis in Radio/TV Production. While I was still in college, I worked part-time for the radio stations here in Lufkin, doing odd-jobs here and there, just trying to get my feet wet in the radio industry
Heya, fellow East Texans! I'm James. I should start by saying I'm not a DJ on the radio, but rather the digital manager at the station. I was raised all over Eastern parts of Texas. starting in Carthage, and moving only as far west as Kaufman, and Ennis. Lived in Nacogdoches, Hudson, Lufkin, and now Pollok so yeah ... I love the Pineywoods. I'm a self proclaimed geek, who loves tabletop games, video games, and anything pop culture. I love making goofy home movies, and now I'm getting to do it as a job! What a country!
Just like his listeners, Buddy Logan is first and foremost a lover of Texas Music. “I love real music written and sung by the same person. And story songs,” Buddy says. “The way a Robert Earl Keen or Chris Knight spin a story is pretty much unheard of now. It’s a shame more people don’t get to hear music of that caliber on radio much anymore.” And his infectious passion for the music oozes throughout Radio Texas, LIVE! It’s been a love affair since he first heard Pat Green’s “Carry On” in 2001
Sean Ericson...ugly, slow and old. Some may say that, but my kids still think I’m pretty cool. (kinda) I have been at Kicks 105 for over 20 years...hence the “old” part. A real appreciation for Texas Country, Country, heck all types of music, keep the job a blast. You will usually find me with no pants on (I really prefer shorts) and wearing flip flops somewhere near the water with Jimmy Buffett providing the soundtrack. Married to an awesome woman, I have two talented and beautiful daughters and one horribly disfigured step son
