Don’t Worry – It’s Supposed To Be On Fire

If you see smoke billowing in parts of Angelina County and surrounding areas today, don’t worry, chances are it’s coming from a prescribed burn being performed by the United States Forest Service.

There will be two areas that will be a part of the burn:

approximately 4800 acres located east of Bingham Rd, north of Hwy 63 and west of Plum Ridge Rd, and approximately 1100 acres located west of FM 2109 and east of Deadman Rd.

Winds are predicted to be out of the southeast, so persons northwest of the burn area may experience some smoke cover.
