Douglass Defeats Water Valley, Plays for State Championship on Saturday
Too much of the Westbrooks, too much defense, just too much Douglass. The Indians started hot in the 3rd quarter and never looked back en route to a 53-44 victory over the Water Valley Wildcats. With the win, Douglass earns a spot in the Class 1A, Division 2 state championship game in Austin Saturday night.
Bryce Westbrook pumped in 20 points while Reed Westbrook added 16, plus add a relentless defense and there was no doubt who the better team was.
