I've known and worked with Bob Sealy from Sealy Outdoors for the better part of 25 years and one of the most prominent things I've learned about Bob is the following -

He's one of a kind.

His unique, magnetic, and fun character and personality connect with people.  His wonderful persona can fill a packed crowd, yet, he can be moved to tears on stage when he has a heartfelt conversation with a veteran or a child.

Some might consider his greatest achievement to be the series of Big Bass Splash tournaments that he produces and presents.  And, even though the Big Bass Splash on Sam Rayburn continues to be the biggest amateur fishing tournament in the world, I believe his biggest accomplishment is how he continues to give of himself from the depths of his heart.

I've never met anyone more passionate about his life, his family, and his work.  It is certainly well-deserved that Bob Sealy was recently inducted into the Legends of the Outdoors National Hall of Fame.

The “Legends of the Outdoors” National Hall of Fame was established to recognize those outdoor sportsmen and sportswomen who, through countless hours of hard work and devotion to the outdoors, in both hunting and fishing, have played an integral part in setting the standards and guidelines for the rest of the outdoor world to follow.

Many people associate Bob's name with the Big Bass Splash, however, Bob Sealy works tirelessly at helping at helping and contributing hours and money to many causes and organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Boys Haven, CAST For Kids, Circle Of Peace, Department of Public Safety Officers, Eagles of Angling Seniors Bass Tournament, Foundation for Abused Children Future Fishing Foundation-Hooked on Fishing Not On Drugs, Jasper Chamber of Commerce, Jasper Tourism Committee, Kids Fishing For Kids, Make a Wish Foundation, March of Dimes, NFL Benefit Tournament, Project Graduations, Red Cross-911, Rayburn's Florida Bass Restocking Program, Ronald McDonald Houses, Sabine River Authority-Toledo Bend Restocking Program, Sea Center Texas Hatcheries, Select McDonald's Charities, Scottish Rite Hospital, St Jude's Children's Hospital, Texas Game Warden's Association, Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, Trinity Episcopal School and Umphrey Family Pavilion.
