East Texas’ Brandon Belt Helps Power San Francisco to the World Series
The San Francisco Giants are making their 2nd return to the world series in the past 3 years. This year, an East Texan will be in the starting line up.
Brandon Belt, who was born in Nacogdoches and played his high school ball at Hudson, has been a major part of the Giant's success this season. Most recently he batted .304 in the National League Championship Series which included a towering home run blast in the 8th inning of Monday night's deciding game 7 over the St. Louis Cardinals. Here's wishing Brandon and the rest of his teammates good luck as they start the world series this Wednesday against Detroit.
