East Texas Monday Soaker

Many area schools will be starting Spring Break this week, and it looks like it will be getting off to a very wet start.  In fact, flooding in the area could take place on Monday. 

A Flash Flood Watch will be in effect on Monday through midnight for Angelina, Nacogdoches and all surrounding counties.  A slow moving storm system should track across the Pineywoods bringing rainfall amounts of 2-4 inches with higher amounts in isolated instances.  Given the recent rainy weather and soaked grounds, flooding is expected to occur in some of these downpours.  Thunderstorms could also occur, but no severe weather is expected.
