After a week and a half of dry weather in the Pineywoods get ready for some unstable weather over the next week which could bring up to 5 inches of rain across the area.

The rain chances will start Memorial Day afternoon and continue through Friday.  Most of the storms should develop in the afternoon and evening hours with the best chance of severe storms occurring Tuesday.  The severe storms could bring heavy rainfall, damaging winds, and hail.  Isolated tornadoes may also be possible, especially in Northeast Texas.  Rainfall accumulations through the week could range anywhere from an inch to over 5 inches.
