One of the world's biggest douchebags, Texas' own Ethan Couch, has been found and detained in Mexico, where he fled after violating terms of probation set following his conviction in a 2013 drunk driving crash that left four dead and nine others injured.

Captain D-Bag Couch was convicted of four counts of intoxication manslaughter in the crash near Fort Worth, but escaped a prison sentence because of his attorney's "affluenza" defense. Pretty much, Couch's high-priced attorneys argued that because the teen grew up so filthy rich, and his excessively affluent parents never set boundaries, he was left with no concept of right or wrong, so oops! Poor kid.

Couch, who was 16 at the time his reckless and illegal behavior took four innocent people's lives, was spared prison on account of his affluenza and instead sentenced to 10 years probation, the terms of which required he complete a long-term rehab stint, avoid drugs and alcohol, and not drive. However, a video surfaced on Twitter in early December showing what appeared to be Couch playing beer pong at a party:

Shortly after the video's surfacing, the now 18-year-old Couch and his mother vanished, failing to meet with his probation officer and leading to an international manhunt that culminated with Couch being taken into custody on Monday night. Couch, who looks like he did the ol' motel bathroom hair dye job disguise like he thought he was in some sort of Bourne film, was found with his mother in the resort city of Puerto Vallarta.

It seems all that affluenza also made him really bad at fleeing. Seriously, dude? You went through all that trouble to run and ended up in a Mexican resort town?

In a news conference held Tuesday, Tarrant County Sheriff Dee Anderson said Ethan and his mother, Tonya, had a going-away party before fleeing to Mexico. Because what's the point of becoming a fugitive if there's not champagne and caviar before you go? I mean, most becoming-a-fugitive parties are sooo basic.

It really does seem like two years and rehab did a lot to cure Couch of that pesky affluenza.

The Tarrant County District Attorney also said Tuesday that she is requesting Couch's probation be transferred from juvenile to adult court so that officials can "deal with him in the adult system," and that she doesn't see his current sentence as a "sufficient punishment for the taking of four lives."
