Crossmen Outdoor Expo Coming to Lufkin September 21-23

Southside Baptist Church in Lufkin is hosting the Crossmen Outdoor Expo from Friday, September 21, to Sunday, September 23. Below are only some of the activities to expect during this fun-filled weekend:
Friday, Sept. 21
Friday evening features a Ladies Banquet with a meal and nationally known female communicator, Edwina Patterson. She will address issues such as marriage, parenting, divorce and careers. The evening will also include a Market Street and Craft Fair and there will be lots of giveaways for the ladies.
Saturday, Sept. 22
Saturday begins with the Family Fun Day & Outdoor Expo from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Enjoy specific activities to meet the interests of men, women, students, and children, including a kid’s fishing tank, petting zoo, hunting and fishing seminars, food and craft vendors, silent auction, inflatable slides and bounce houses in our “kids’ zone”, and many others.
Presentations from John Godwin of Duck Dynasty fame and Hank Hough from Kingdom Dog Ministries will captivate audiences of all ages.
Saturday evening, men will be invited to enjoy a steak and shrimp dinner, in an outdoor setting, under a tent in the parking lot. There will be high-end specialty giveaways that include ATVs, hunting trips, fishing trips and several types of sporting equipment. Guest speaker Jay Lowder will deliver a message that all men need to hear.
Sunday, Sept. 23
Sunday morning’s service is high octane and genuine evangelism. The service is highly promoted through the previous days’ events and is highly attended by those who enjoyed the weekend’s activities. Jay Lowder, the speaker at the men’s dinner, will be preaching and the Justin Cofield Band will be leading the worship. The morning service is geared for all ages.Sunday evening’s event focuses on students. The Justin Cofield Band will put on a concert, and there will be several giveaways including a car!
