Expect Lane Closures This Week in Lufkin on Loop 287 and Highway 59

Beginning Wednesday and continuing through Saturday, work is planned on Highway 59 and Loop 287 that will require closures as crews replace large overhead signs. The sign replacements are scheduled from just south of Whitehouse Drive on US 59 to FM 58 on Loop 287 East. As this work progresses, motorists will experience lane closures at each location.

Vaca Underground Utilities, Inc., Houston, will serve as contractor for this project that will enhance safety and provide more efficient traffic flow and safer access through the area. Motorists should reduce speed in the project areas and be alert to overhead work and moving equipment. Obey all traffic control devices and be prepared for delays during peak travel hours.
