For Faith Hill fans, it’s been a long four-year wait for new material. Her most recent recordings are a pair of songs (‘Lost’ and ‘Red Umbrella’) she included with her 2007 compilation ‘The Hits.’

In the meantime, Hill’s kept a relatively low profile as she works on the follow-up to 2005′s ‘Fireflies’ — but it sounds like she might finally be ready to break her silence.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Hill will debut a new song, titled ‘Come Home,’ during her appearance at the CMA Awards on November 9. Aside from the title, no details have surfaced about the song, but if Hill’s ready to bring it to the public, we can be sure it’s passed some pretty strenuous tests.

According to Hill, she’s reaching for something more meaningful with her next album. “I would like to have a record out,” she told Billboard earlier this year, “but it hasn’t been the right thing yet. I don’t want it to be just another record. It’s a lot of work to support a record, so I just want it to be … really great. I want it to represent where I am as a woman. I don’t want it to be fake. I want it to be authentic and real.”

We’ll get our first chance to hear that authenticity on November 9, when the CMA Awards air on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.
