A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Angelina, Nacogdoches, and many surrounding counties until 9 pm tonight.  Freezing rain could occur later in the day, but temperatures look like they'll stay above freezing for most of the morning.

Forecasters at first thought we would be at or near freezing by Monday morning light, but as of 5 AM, the leading line of freezing temps and/or precipitation is located from Teague to in between Canton and Dallas.  Lufkin is waking up to a temperature of 38 and Nacogdoches has 36.  Tyler is at 35 right now.

Killeen/Temple is becoming a mess and so is the Texas Hill Country.  Temperatures across East Texas are expected to slowly drop throughout the day to a low of around 30 overnight.  Precipitation chances are at 80% today and 60% tonight.  A cold rain should fall throughout the morning hours, but some scattered areas of freezing precipitation could start occurring in the afternoon.

As of this posting, there are no known delays or closures for area schools.
