UPDATE: (3:15 pm, 4/13)  All northbound lanes have re-opened.

Emergency crews responded early this Friday morning to a vehicle fire at the Neches River Bridge on the northbound lanes of Highway 59 South of Diboll.

As of 7 a.m., all northbound lanes are blocked as crew work to clear the wreckage.  So, northbound traffic is now being diverted into one of the southbound lanes as shown in the video below.  This flow of traffic is expected to be in place most of the day.

Preliminary information indicates at approximately 6 a.m., a commercial motor vehicle was traveling north on US 59 when the truck reportedly struck the guardrail of the river bridge and caught fire. A Department of Public Safety spokesperson said that as of 7:30 a.m. no injuries had been reported.
