This is the time of the year that graduations, proms, and the impending Summer vacation are the most important things on the minds of high schoolers.

Add one more thing for the softball teams from Hudson, Garrison, and Henderson.

Garrison will meet their district foe Beckville tonight at 6 in Henderson.  The winner of that game will advance to the 4-team Class 1A state tourney next weekend in Austin.  The Lady Bulldogs and LadyCats have already played each other 3 times this year with Garrison winning one of those, but all the games were extremely close.

Meanwhile, the Lady Hornets of Hudson are just one series away from the Class 3A state tourney.  The champions of district 18 will be playing a best of three series against Splendora, who was the runner-up of district 22.  The champion of that district was Huffman-Hargrave, who Hudson ousted last week, however, don't read much into that as Splendora has a long history of going deep into the playoffs - Hudson will certainly need to bring their 'A  game', which is exactly what we've come to expect from these focused and faith-driven young ladies.

The first game of the series is set for tonight at 7 in Bryan.  Game two will be at 5:30 on Friday at Texas A&M, with a 3rd game, if necessary, to follow.

Meanwhile, also in 3A, the Henderson Lady Lions will have  a three game series against North Lamar beginning tonight at 7 at Grand Saline.
