The Garth machine is getting ready to roll.  We've already heard that Garth Brooks plans to launch into a 3 year concert tour beginning later this year, but no specifics have been forthcoming...until now, kind of.

Garth will open his tour with what amounts to a full-on dress rehearsal.  These two concerts will take place in Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland on July 25th and 26th. Brooks played some sold out shows there back in the '90's.  These 'warm-up' concerts are being billed as the Garth Brooks Comeback Special Event.  If Garth comes out in a black leather suit the similarities to 1968 and Elvis will be complete.

According to a report from ABC news Garth Brooks stated,  "Before we go back on tour in the fall of 2014, I want to challenge myself, the band, and crew," in '97, we were lucky enough to play Croke Park, the stadium was under construction. 130,000+ of some of the greatest fans in the world. I was quoted then as saying 'When this stadium is finished, I would love to come back and try to fill it again...this time to the brink.'...and we're back to do just that.”

One thing I do like about all this is the timing.  Garth will not start the tour until the Fall of this year, allowing George Strait to have all the attention until his final show is done in June.
