Strait's set is set to take place at NRG Stadium in Houston in 2019. It will be a full-length concert, and the date will mark Strait's only concert in Texas in 2019. The country legend officially retired from touring in 2014, but has continued to play one-off shows, as well as a string of dates in Las Vegas.

The opening acts for Strait's 2019 Rodeo Houston performance are to be announced. The remaining schedule for 2019's Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will be announced in early January 2019. Individual tickets for all performances, including George Strait, will go on sale that January. A limited number of season tickets will go on sale to the public on Aug. 1, 2018.
