Great Kid Escape, Peyton List Draw Huge Crowd

What a blast!

Over a thousand kids, parents, and sponsors came out for the first ever Great Kid Escape Saturday at the Lufkin Convention Center.  The event was highlighted by our special guest celebrity, Peyton List. 

The 15-year-old actress has been in movies such as 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice', 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid', and '27 Dresses', but has drawn the most notoriety for her role as Emma Ross on the hit Disney show, 'Jessie'.  List did several meet and greets throughout the day and took the stage to answer questions from her wonderful fans.

Over a thousand folks came out for the event.  In addition to List, there were numerous vendors featuring a variety games and activities.  Our friend from Gator Country Adventure Park were also on hand with demonstrations featuring crocodiles, alligators, and a giant tortoise.

If you were at the event, remember to enter for a chance to win a 16gb iPad from Best Buy.  Just upload the picture(s) that you took of yourself  to Instagram using the hashtag #greatkidescape.

Out of all of the entries that are uploaded, one picture will be drawn at random to win the iPad.  Please submit pictures that clearly identify you since we will not have access to your name from Instagram.  If the winner is under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must fill out a W9, winner sheet, and claim any and all taxes for the prize won.  Entries can be submitted on Saturday, June 22 from 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, June 23 at midnight.  A random winner will be drawn out of all entries at noon on Monday, June 24 and will be notified via Instagram.
