Northwest winds gusting to over 35 mph and a near-record lake level have combine to make traveling over the Highway 147 Bridge over Lake Sam Rayburn quite the adventure.  Crews from the Texas Department of Transportation are working to clear the bridge of debris as high winds continue to cause a spillover from high waters on Sam Rayburn Lake. Later this evening, crews are expected to apply a brine mixture to help keep the water on the roadway from freezing overnight.

Motorists should reduce speed and stay alert for TxDOT workers through the area.
