Habitat for Humanity Hosts ‘Find Your Stud’ Event

Habitat for Humanity of Angelina County (HFHAC) is the midst of constructing their 20th area home.  Home number 20 is located at 1708 Culverhouse in Lufkin, and on Tuesday, a 'Find Your Valentine's Day Stud' event was held at that address. 

Local 'studs' from the Lufkin Fire and Police Departments, media, and other outlets were on hand to take pictures and selfies to promote the '100 women build' that is unique to home number 20.  HFHAC executive director Terri Cawley spoke at the event about the history of the program, the details of the current home, and the outlook of future construction.

Those at the event were encouraged to write spiritual passages on the 2x4 studs in the home.  We captured some of those passages in this video, along with comments from Terri Cawley, and an introduction to some in attendance.
