Happy National Margarita Day – How ‘Bout Some Recipes
It's National Margarita Day and it falls on a Friday! Not that you really need an extra reason to have a margarita, but I'm sure the makes of tequila and triple sec certainly won't mind if you honor the day with a drink or two. I've included some margarita recipes that certainly look tempting...feel free to include some of your own in the comment section.
TEXATINI
coarse salt (optional) 1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger tequila 1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger orange liqueur (Cointreau, Triple Sec or Grand Marnier) | 1/2 cup sweet and sour mix 1 fluid ounce orange juice 1 cup crushed ice 1 jalapeno-stuffed green olive |
1. | Slightly moisten rim of a large martini glass, and dip in course salt to rim the glass. |
2. | Combine tequila, orange liqueur, sweet and sour mix, orange juice, and ice in a shaker. Shake vigorously, and strain into martini glass. Garnish with jalapeno-stuffed green olives. |
