Harrison Ford is getting too old for this. The 71-year-old actor was sent to a hospital after injuring his ankle Wednesday while filming scenes for 'Star Wars: Episode 7.'

Disney issued a statement on the actor's injury:

Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ford was on location in London's Pinewood Studios when a door from the Millennium Falcon reportedly malfunctioned and injured him (as if the actor wasn't annoyed by 'Star Wars' already). He was airlifted to a hospital following the incident and is currently receiving treatment.

'Star Wars: Episode 7' also features the returning Mark Hamill, 62, and Carrie Fisher, 57. Though these actors have been working out to reprise their roles of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo for the next installment, they aren't as nimble as they used to be. As The Wrap states, Disney has an insurance policy out on Ford, the eldest of the bunch, in case of events such as this.

Shooting on 'Star Wars: Episode 7' continues in the UK with director J.J. Abrams and a cast that includes the likes of John Boyega, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, Lupita Nyong'o, Gwendoline Christie, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Dohmnall Gleeson and Max von Sydow. The film will hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
