After four playoff games of lopsided scores, the Lady Hornets found themselves in unfamiliar territory this evening against Huffman Hargrave.  In fact, it looked as if Hudson would be needing to play a third and deciding game to see who would earn the right to advance to the next round.

However, these gals from Hudson don't know the meaning of the word 'quit'.

After building an early 3-0 lead, the Lady Hornets found themselves down 6-4 going into the last at bat.  That's when Kelsee Selman delivered with a 2-run shot to tie the game.

In the bottom half of the 7th, it was nail-biting time again as Huffman had the winning run mowed down at the plate and so now we move to extra innings.

In the top of the 8th, KK Parker drilled a solo shot, plus the Lady Hornets were able to tack on one more before holding Huffman to no runs in the bottom of the inning.  8-6, the final.

Hudson will now face either Waco Robinson or Splendora.  The winner of that series earns the right to travel to Austin to the state tourney.

Way to go, Lady Hornets!!!
