On this date in 1918, in the 11th month, the 11th hour of the 11th day, World War I officially came to an end.  Originally called Armistice Day, legislation in 1954 officially changed the name to Veterans Day to honor all of our soldiers.

There is no way that we could ever properly repay our veterans for their sacrifices, but it is so wonderful to see so many communities, organizations, and schools present everything from programs to parades.  I would like to personally thank Huntington ISD for once again bestowing up me the honor to be master of ceremonies for their outstanding veteran's program.

We would encourage any schools to please send us pictures of their event so that we may include them in a special story on our website.  Please send those pictures to danny@kicks105.com.

Thank you, veterans!
